Privacy Policy

Introduction
Dibbin (“Dibbin,” “we,” “us” or “our”) helps marketing teams track the posts and paid ads that brands run. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and product, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits dibbin.com or uses a Dibbin account.
We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will explain.
Information we collect
We collect a limited amount of information, in three buckets:
Information you give us. When you create an account we collect your name, email address and the password (stored only as a secure hash) or single sign-on identifier you use to log in. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your billing details on our behalf — we never see or store full card numbers.
Information you create in the product. This includes the brands you track, the boards you build, the notes and comments you write, and the teammates you invite.
Information we collect automatically. Like most web services, we log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you visit, so we can keep the service secure and understand how it is used.
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain and improve the Dibbin product;
- Track the brands you ask us to and surface the ad signals that power your boards and alerts;
- Send move alerts, billing receipts and service notices;
- Respond to your support requests and communicate about your account;
- Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security issues;
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your boards or notes to train third-party models.
The Meta data we read
Dibbin’s core feature is showing what brands are running on Meta. It is important to be precise about where that data comes from.
The brand and ad information we display is drawn from publicly available sources — primarily the Meta Ad Library and the public signals brands expose on their own Pages. This is the same information any person could gather by hand; we simply collect it continuously and structure it. It is not private account data.
If you choose to connect your own Meta account, we request only the permissions needed to read the ad and Page data you have access to, and we use that access solely to deliver the features you are using in Dibbin. We do not post on your behalf, and we do not read your private messages or personal account details beyond what you explicitly connect. You can disconnect your Meta account at any time from your settings.
Data sharing
We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below:
- Service providers. We work with trusted vendors — for hosting, payments, authentication, analytics and email — who process data on our behalf under contract and only on our instructions.
- Your team. If you join or invite others to a shared workspace, your boards, notes and activity are visible to those teammates.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of Dibbin, our users or the public.
- Business transfers. If Dibbin is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this policy.
Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, regular backups, and continuous monitoring of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and to limit who on our team can access it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your information directly in your account settings, or contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used so we can improve it. Essential cookies are required for the service to function; analytics cookies are optional and you can disable them through your browser settings without losing core functionality.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the product. Your continued use of Dibbin after an update means you accept the revised policy.
